GLOW partyWhat could be more fun than a GLOW (Go Light Our World) party to start the year off right?

Save the date: Friday, August 26th, from 6 – 8 pm at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School.

For only $3 per person, you’ll enjoy a DJ, dancing and the time of your life! Don’t forget to dress to glow. We will be selling pizza and other fun glow-in-the-dark items.

Adults must accompany children. This is a family event! We look forward to seeing you on the 26th.

Back to School Bash THANK YOU!
Thanks to all who came out for the Back To School Bash! IT WAS A BLAST! It doesn’t get any better than seeing Ms. Goggins in the Hamster Roll!  It was a huge success, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you!  A BIG THANK YOU to all who participated, donated items and/or volunteered your time! Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you!

Take a night off from cooking and support our school! Papa John’s Spirit Night is TONIGHTs! Tuesday, Sept. 1.  Order from Papa John’s (8725 Roswell Rd. location) and 10% of the order will  go directly back to our school!  And no cooking for anyone! CURRICULUM NIGHT/TITLE I Parent Meeting
Curriculum Night will begin at 5:00 on Thursday, Sept. 3 with a Title I Parent Meeting.  This meeting will be led by Principal Goggins and she will cover the following:
– What it means to be a Title I School
– Your rights as a parent
– Our school wide goals
– How Title I funds will be spent
– Parental Involvement Opportunities this year
Curriculum night will follow immediately after from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.  Childcare will be provided for DSES students.

It’s time to start collecting Box Tops! It’s such an easy way to earn money for the school! Plus, the class that collects the most Box Tops will win a party for their class!
Volunteer Opportunities
Some teachers are still in search of a Room Parent! What a great way to be more involved in your students classroom! Please contact Stephanie Mahan if you are interested   stephmahan@gmail.com
The PTA is always looking for more volunteers! If interested, please contact Jennifer Davis jendeeb@bellsouth.net to discuss what might be the best fit for you! We promise, there is something for everyone!
**VERY IMPORTANT FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS**
 All volunteers MUST view the online Mandated Reporter’s training and complete the volunteer registration.  If you completed this last year, you just need to renew.  Please click here. There are two tabs on the top of the page – one is the “volunteer renewal form” and the other is “register to volunteer.” This must be completed before you do any volunteer positions in the school, including field trips.

It’s time for another Papa John’s Spirit Night. This is a really easy way to help raise money for our school because a percentage of your order goes back to Dunwoody Springs PTA, even when you take advantage of a special offer.

When:  THIS Wednesday, February 11th

What:  10% of any order placed at the Roswell Rd. Papa John’s on February 11th will go directly back to Dunwoody Springs.

Valentine’s Day Lunch

heartsJoin your student for lunch on Friday, February 13th.  Treasure the moment and have a Valentine photo taken while you’re visiting as well! Photos are available to purchase and take home for $5 each (cash only).
